In het kort

Discover what PureOil® Vanilla Oil really is: a natural vanilla infusion in carrier oil, for use on skin, hair, and for massage.

What is vanilla oil?

PureOil® Vanilla Oil requires an important distinction: according to the product page, it is a natural infusion of vanilla beans in a plant-based carrier oil. It is therefore not the same as a classic steam-distilled essential oil. This product form determines how you use the oil.

The scent is warm, sweet, and comforting. The oil can be used for skincare, massage, aromatic routines, and DIY cosmetics, within the instructions on the product label.

How is vanilla oil made?

PureOil® states a natural infusion of vanilla beans in plant-based carrier oil, with Madagascar as the origin. In an infusion, fragrance and plant components are absorbed into an oily base. This results in a different product than an essential oil or an alcoholic extract.

What does vanilla oil smell like?

Vanilla has a soft, round, sweet scent that is often experienced as warm and gourmand. In blends, vanilla can round out sharp citrus notes and soften floral or woody scents.

Vanilla oil in a fragrance routine

Because this variant is an oil infusion, always check whether your diffuser is suitable for oily carriers. Not every ultrasonic diffuser is intended for fatty carrier oils. Therefore, use the product only in devices suitable for this purpose and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Vanilla oil for the skin

Use according to the label and test locally first. Because the base is a plant-based carrier oil, the texture may be richer than that of volatile essential oil. Start with a few drops on slightly damp skin.

Vanilla oil for hair

A small amount can be used on dry ends or in a hair oil blend when the product form is suitable for this. Use sparingly to avoid weighing down the hair.

What does vanilla combine well with?

In terms of scent, vanilla combines beautifully with lavender for softness, bergamot or orange for a fresh sweetness, and sandalwood for a warm, creamy base. Patchouli can also provide a deeper, earthy direction.

Practical routines

Massage

Use the oil according to the label or mix with a neutral carrier oil when you want to make the scent more subtle.

Hair ends

Distribute one drop over the hands and smooth only through dry ends.

Body oil

Apply thinly to slightly damp skin.

Quality and storage

Pay attention to a clear ingredient list and production method. Store in a cool, dark, and tightly closed place. Do not use the product if the scent or color changes significantly and unpleasantly.

Safe use

Use the product information as a guide and do not automatically treat this Vanilla Oil as a pure essential oil. Avoid the eyes and damaged skin, and test locally first if you have sensitivity.
